Stephenson’s, a legacy fashion retail store in Elkhart, has announced an upcoming prom dress trade-in campaign in support of local high school students. The event aims to make prom night a magical and memorable experience for all students, regardless of their financial circumstances. Stephenson’s has partnered with Lifeline Ministries to ensure a successful and impactful prom dress drive.
The event, taking place from March 18th – March 30th, encourages members of the local community to donate clean, gently used prom dresses. Donors, in exchange, will be rewarded with a discount at the store. Donations can be dropped off at Stephenson’s, located at 211 South Main Street, in downtown Elkhart. The donated items will then be distributed to eligible students from Lifeline and other worthy schools and organizations. Any school officials with known needs are encouraged to contact the store.
With the prom being a significant milestone in a high schooler’s life, Stephenson’s believes that no student should be left without a beautiful dress due to financial barriers. By hosting this prom dress drive, the business hopes to alleviate some of the financial burdens associated with prom, allowing all students to feel confident and special on this big night.
Lily Reynolds Miller, of Stephenson’s said, “We are thrilled to, once again, be organizing a prom dress drive and supporting our local high school students. Prom is such an important event for high schoolers, and we want every student to have the opportunity to experience it with confidence and style. We invite the community to come together and donate their gently used prom dresses, ensuring that every student feels beautiful and empowered on their special night.”
Each customer that brings in a donation dress will receive a voucher for a discount on a new prom dress, or other eligible items within the store.
