Bail set for suspects in Fifth Third Bank robbery

New information has been released in the bank robbery case that happened last Thursday.

It happened Thursday morning at the Fifth Third Bank on Main Street.

Officers identified and followed a suspect vehicle shortly after the robbery, though both suspects allegedly fled on foot from the vehicle before being apprehended and taken into custody.

Over the weekend, a judicial officer set bail for the two male suspects arrested in the robbery.

The first suspect, 61-year-old Tyrone Hunt of Elkhart, was booked into the Elkhart County Jail on preliminary charges of Robbery and Resisting Law Enforcement.

The second suspect, 43-year-old Melvin Levy of Elkhart, was arrested on the same preliminary charges. Bail amounts were set at $50,000 for both suspects.
