Work will begin, soon, on a new multi-use trail connecting the University of Notre Dame to downtown South Bend.
From the downtown area, the trail will begin at the plaza at LaSalle and Dr. MLK Jr. Boulevard, then go east on LaSalle, north on Hill Street, then northeast on South Bend Avenue to Notre Dame Avenue.
The City of South Bend awarded a bid to Milestone Contractors North, LLC to start the first phase of a trail and streetscape project along Hill Street, South Bend Avenue, and Notre Dame Avenue.
Construction on the first phase of the project, Notre Dame Ave from South Bend Ave to Angela should begin by mid-April.

Hey, I have an idea – how about repairing the multitude of streets that have been neglected for far too long?
