A man has been arrested by Mishawaka Police on a slew of sex-related counts.

Jonathan Neubecker, 22, faces Child Exploitation, Sexual Battery, Possession of Child Pornography, and Obstruction of Justice charges.

He allegedly recorded the assault of a 16-year-old on his cell phone.

The victim’s father reported the incident after learning about the video.

Neubecker, a former friend of the victim’s family lived with them from April 2022 to June of last year.

A witness stated that Neubecker showed him the video, and boasted about it.

ABC 57 News reports that during an interview with the St. Joseph County Special Victims Unit, Neubecker confessed to taking at least three videos, but destroyed them before the interview due to their incriminating nature.
