A 25-year-old man has been charged after allegedly molesting an 11-year-old girl.

According to the Mishawaka Police Department, Gavin Weimer allegedly picked up the victim near her home and took her to a local school parking lot where he sexually assaulted her in the vehicle.

While many details have been withheld in order to protect the minor victim, it is noted that Weimer and the victim did know each other.

Weimer was charged with two counts of Child Molestation where the defendant is at least 21 years old.

He is currently on probation for Residential Entry and is a registered sex offender due to a previous Sexual Misconduct conviction.
