INDOT will be conducting work at the U.S. 31/20 bypass and U.S. 31 interchange on South Bend’s southside to wrap up their bridge contract which first began in 2022.

Drivers are warned to watch for alternating lanes closures on U.S. 31/Michigan Street from Jackson Road to just south of Ireland Road, and some of the the ramps will be closed through late May for bridge painting.

The outside shoulders of the U.S. 31/20 bypass bridge will also be closed due to the work.

There will also be lane closures on the bypass brudge over U.S. 31 for deck work starting next week and lasting through late May.
