(Jon Zimney/95.3 MNC)
Mishawaka Police and the Humane Society are investigating after a crossing guard at Lasalle Elementary in Mishawaka was attacked by a dog while on duty.
It happened on Thursday as Kim McCain was helping children cross the street. She says the dog suddenly charged at her, leaving her with multiple bites and significant bruising on her leg. With the help of the dog’s owner and a nearby police officer, the attack was stopped.
McCain, who’s been a crossing guard for more than three decades, McCain tells WSBT she’s just grateful none of the the children were hurt.
