Deadly hit-and-run collision on U.S. 6 under investigation

The LaPorte County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a deadly hit-and-run collision involving a pedestrian.

It was around 6 a.m. on Monday, April 22, when deputies were called to the 11000 block of U.S. 6 for a person struck by a vehicle.

On scene, an officer found the body of an adult male was found lying near a ditch off the westbound lanes. U.S. 6 was closed for approximately three and a half hours for the on-scene investigation.

So far, there’s no word about a suspect vehicle description.
