Arrest made after hit-and-run death of homeless man on U.S. 6

An arrest has been made after a homeless man was struck and killed in LaPorte County.

The collision happened early Monday morning in the 11000 block of U.S. 6 and resulted in the death of 67-year-old Keith Eastwood

Troy Slack, 48, was taken into custody after authorities gathered evidence, including images from a Flock camera, that connected them to Slack’s vehicle.

Slack was taken into custody in Porter County on Tuesday and was taken to the LaPorte County Jail on charges of Leaving the Scene Causing Death. He’s being held on a $20,000 cash-only bond.
