Nichol Mondy, a 3rd grade teacher at Northpoint Elementary School, was honored with the Elementary Teacher of the Year award by the Penn-Harris-Madison School Corporation.

The nominees for this award are educators who have impacted students’ lives or academic achievements.

Mondy expressed her gratitude, saying, “It’s overwhelming but incredibly exciting. It’s another opportunity to teach kids about perseverance, doing what’s right even when nobody’s watching, and staying committed to your responsibilities.”
