Indy Fuel announcer dies

A much-loved voice of minor-league hockey in Indiana has been silenced.

Scott Alan, the emcee for the Indy Fuel, has died in a car accident. Fuel owner Jim Hallett informed fans about the news on Tuesday. Alan was about to become the first employee of the Bloomington Bison, a new East Coast Hockey League team in Illinois owned by the same group that owns the Fuel.

The Fuel will share details about his funeral or memorial service once his family has made the arrangements
