Potawatomi Zoo’s annual Children’s Day scheduled for June 12

The Potawatomi Zoo’s annual free-admission Children’s Day is coming up next month.

It’s scheduled for June 12. From 10 a.m. until the Zoo’s last admission at 7:30, children ages 14 and under will get free admission to the Zoo while accompanied by an adult.

All regular attractions, concessions and the gift shop will be open during Children’s Day, and Zoo Keeper Chats will be available at 11:30 and 2:30.

United Federal Credit Union will also be there, giving away bags and coupons for $5 with the opening of a new Youth Savings Account for children at the event.

Executive Director Josh Sisk says because of their partnership with United, they get to share the Zoo with children who may not otherwise get to visit the Zoo, hopefully fostering their curiosity for wildlife and nature.
