The South Bend Police Department’s Violent Crimes Unit is investigating a shooting that wounded four people.
On Sunday, June 16, just before 4 a.m., a South Bend Police Officer patrolling in the area of Lincoln Way West and Adams Street called out a possible shooting after observing gunfire at a gas station in the 1600 block of Lincoln Way West.
Several third detail officers quickly arrived on scene and located a male victim, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
As officers were investigating, they were advised that three additional victims with apparent gunshot wounds had arrived at Memorial Hospital.
All four victims, adult males, are being treated at the hospital for their injuries.
