LaPorte County Police are asking for the public’s help finding a woman they say stole an iPhone from the public video visitation room of the LaPorte County Jail.

And, yes, they say it was all caught on video surveillance. The theft took place during business hours on Friday, June 21.

Investigators say after taking the property that belonged to another person, she briefly sat down in the lobby where some still images were captured.

Deputy Wedow wants to deliver the suspect for possible charges to the LaPorte County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.

Anybody with information can contact Wedow at: pwedow@lcso.in.gov
