New hearing set for late July in Delphi murders case

Special Judge Frances Gull has scheduled a new hearing in the Delphi murders case.

A three day hearing is scheduled to begin July 30th. Gull plans to hear several motions, including the requests to have suspect Richard Allen moved from a state prison into a county jail before his trial, and a motion to discuss the specifics of the charges against him.

Gull is also going to hear a request from prosecutor to limit the evidence and witnesses Allen’s defense can present.

The trial is currently scheduled for October.
