An Elkhart man was killed in a motorcycle crash on Old U.S. 33 near State Road 19.

The collision happened just after 3 a.m. on Saturday, July 6, when Elkhart County Sheriff’s investigators say Jason Bridges, 45, was traveling eastbound and ran off the highway onto the property of 28080 Old U.S. 33 and struck a ditch and street sign.

Bridges was transported by ambulance to Elkhart General Hospital where he died from his injuries.

Factors into the crash are still under investigation.
