A Westville man was killed in a crash on State Road 2 in LaPorte County.

The collision happened just before 5:30 a.m. on Monday, July 8, near County Road 500 West.

The initial on-scene investigation determined the driver of a 2015 Kia was traveling westbound.  The vehicle left the roadway and crashed into a tree at the intersection.

The driver, George Dobos, 62, was found inside the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.

Factors into the crash are still being investigated.
