Child abuse suspects captured in LaGrange County

The LaGrange County Sheriff’s Office helped catch two alleged child abuse suspects wanted in Michigan.
A tip from the LaGrange County Sheriff’s Office, late last month, led to the arrest of Jesse Lee Stone, 46, and Stephanie Nicole Stone, 38, in Michigan by the Van Buren County Sheriff’s Office.
The couple, who operated an in-home daycare on M-40 Highway, were charged with child abuse. Authorities do not believe the daycare children were victims but are still investigating.
Jesse Stone faces charges of Criminal Sexual Conduct and Child Abuse, with his bond set at $750,000.
Stephanie Stone faces multiple Child Abuse charges, with her bond set at $100,000.
