No injuries were reported after South Bend Fire crews were called to a house fire in the 1100 block of Campeau Street.

The call came in around 7 p.m. on Wednesday, July 24.

Crews arrived to find smoke pouring from the front of the single-story home.

Firefighters located the fire in the basement and got it under control in about 10 minutes.

The homeowners got out safely.

The origin and cause of the fire remain under investigation.
