The investigation into the cause into a house fire in the 600 block of South Wellington Street in South Bend continues.

Crews were called just before 11:30 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 4, to find fire and smoke pouring from the front of the home.

Crews attacked the blaze quickly.

The homeowner got out of the home and was evaluated by medics on scene and was given the all-clear.

There were no reports of any injuries to firefighters.
