A suspect has been arrested and charged in connection with a recent deadly shooting on Sample Street.

It was Tuesday, July 30, when South Bend officrs were called to the 3600 block of Sample on a ShotSpotter notification.

There, they found 20-year-old Isaiah Walton-Davis suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. He ultimately succumbed to his injuries.

Through the Violent Crimes Unit’s investigation, Cyjarron Odynski, 18, was identified as a suspect. He was arrested on Friday and charged with murder.

Odynski is charged with Escape in connection with an earlier case under Juvenile Justice Center.
