A Chicago woman was hospitalized after a rear-end collision on U.S. 12. The crash happened around 12:50 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 9, near Anderson Rd. in Milton Township.

Cass County Sheriff’s investigators say showed the 72-year-old woman was traveling westbound when she rear-ended another vehicle driven by an Elkhart woman who stopped to make a left-hand turn.

The Elkhart woman had two passengers in her car.

All occupants were wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. Alcohol is not believed to be a factor.
