Mishawaka Police respond to stabbing incident, Injury deemed non-criminal

On the afternoon of Sep. 10, the Mishawaka Police Department responded to a report of a possible stabbing at the intersection of Cleveland St. and Fourth St. around 2:45 p.m.

Officers arrived to find a male victim suffering from a severe laceration. After conducting an initial investigation, it was discovered that the injury occurred at a residence located at 325 Cleveland St., from which the victim had left to seek help.

The victim was transported to a local hospital and is currently in stable condition. Further investigation revealed that the injury was not the result of criminal activity. The police continue to review the circumstances surrounding the incident.
