Now that the season is over for the Indiana Fever, Fever guard Caitlin Clark says there’s a lot to look back on and be proud of.
Clark led the WNBA in assists, was the league’s Rookie of the Year, and was a WNBA All-Star. But earlier this week, Clark said it’s the relationships that matter most to her.
“Championships are great and I hope we can have a few of those, but at the end of the day, you want to have good relationships with people. There’s been so many amazing moments. My favorite stuff is probably the things you guys don’t see that I enjoy the most. It’s not the basketball. It’s the people I get to spend it with like my family and my teammates,” said Clark.
Clark says she feels like she had a solid year.
“But I also think I’m just scratching the surface. I want to help this franchise get even better, be there for teammates, help my teammates get even better. I know there is a lot of room for me to continue to improve. That’s what excites me the most because I feel like I can get a lot better,” said Clark.
The Fever made the postseason in 2024, but ultimately lost in the first round to the Connecticut Sun. It was their first appearance in the WNBA playoffs since 2016.

Before she caught my eye in the NCAA playoffs I had no idea who the WNBA was or is. I had no knowledge of a single WNBA player. Sadly a handful of the players are thugs and bullies. CC has more character and class in her little finger nail than most of the rest of the league combined. Never heard her disparage a single player. Always praises her team mates. And I do not believe her fans are making death threats to certain other narcissistic players. Let’s see the police reports. Certainly you have copies of them?? It appeared to me that the officials were putting their thumb on the scales against Clark and the Fever too. The league should be ashamed.
