Indiana Task Force One is coming home.

They are one of 28 “highly trained” Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) sponsored Urban Search and Rescue teams in the United States. They spent the last few weeks in Florida and North Carolina helping with cleanup and recovery from damage caused by Hurricane Helene and Hurricane Milton.

They’re expected to arrive back in the Hoosier state sometime Tuesday.

The Task Force was first established in 1992.
