A Benton Harbor man has been sentenced for third-degree fleeing and eluding.
Richard Romeo Hill, Jr., 32, pleaded guilty and was ordered to spend 14 months to five years in prison. Leader Publications reports Hill is a repeat offender — having been convicted of fleeing and eluding twice before, in 2009 and 2021.
His latest incident occurred in April in Niles Township.
For his part, Hills apologized and said he’s been struggling with mental health issues.
