Eastbound I-94 projects in Berrien Co. delayed, but nearly finished

(Jon Zimney/95.3 MNC)

The first year of a long MDOT project on I-94 is almost finished.

Officials hoped that the work this year between Puetz Road and Washington Avenue would be finished before Thanksgiving, but WSJM reports that it’s now more likely to last into part of December.

There were issues with bridge beams that caused delays.

Red Arrow Highway remains closed at I-94 in the Stevensville area through October 30th while crews set beams for the eastbound interstate bridge over Red Arrow.

The rebuilding work next year will shift to the westbound interstate from Washington to Empire, and the westbound I-94 bridge over Pipestone.
