Driver injured in U.S.12 collision during attempted U-Turn

A woman from White Pigeon was hurt in a crash in Cass County.

The collision happened around 4:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 25, at the intersection of U.S. 12 and Vera Drive in Porter Township.

According to investigators, the 53-year-old driver was traveling eastbound on US-12 when she attempted an improper U-turn.

A second driver, a 35-year-old from Sturgis, collided with the vehicle during the turn.

The injured driver was transported to South Bend Memorial Hospital for treatment.
