A Kalamazoo woman was injured in a crash in Cass County.

The collision happened around 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 26, on Wood Lake Rd., near Welburn Street in Newberg Township.

The initial investigation showed that the vehicle driven by the 19-year-old woman was traveling southbound at a high rate of speed.

As the vehicle crested the hill it went airborne, then lost control.

The vehicle then left the roadway, overturned, and struck an unoccupied mobile home being used for storage.

Both the vehicle and mobile home then caught on fire.

The woman was taken by Newberg ambulance to Three Rivers Health Hospital for treatment of her injuries.
