Berrien County will be illuminating some facilities with green lights in honor of veterans.

The Board of Commissioners approved a resolution recognizing Operation Green Light.

Many veterans report struggling with high stress trying to adjust to life outside the military when they return home.

To show them support and honor, Veterans Services Director Maureen Adams is encouraging people to shine a green light in their windows between Nov. 3 and Nov. 11.

WSJM says green lights will be visible outside of the administration center, the jail, the legal aid office and the two courthouses during Operation Green Light.
