A Goshen man accused of murdering his wife appeared in court last week.

The Goshen News says a not guilty plea was entered for Hector Duran Gomez, who’s accused of using a zip tie to kill 45-year-old Alma Bermeo at their home.

Despite a no-contact order, Gomez was reportedly with Bermeo the night before her body was discovered in a locked garage on the property.

Police say surveillance cameras had been tampered with, and Gomez reportedly had visible scratch marks when he was arrested.

His trial is scheduled for March 31.
