(95.3 MNC)

A Michigan prisoner is facing charges after making a false report or threat of terrorism.

36-year-old Jihaad Ahmad is currently incarcerated in the Michigan Department of Corrections and was arraigned on the new charges last week.

Reports say he sent a letter to Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer, saying he planned to bomb her home once released.

Ahmad may face up to 20 years incarceration if found guilty. He’s due back in court in mid-November.
