Plymouth man arrested for deadly shooting in Elkhart

Formal charges are expected this week against a man arrested for a deadly shooting in Elkhart.

It happened on Sunday, Nov. 3, in the 700 block of County Road 3 where police found two men who were shot.

Romulo Reyes, 33, died from his injuries. The second victim, a 38-year-old man from South Bend, remains in critical condition at the hospital.

Joshua Martinez, 24, of Plymouth, was arrested on Thursday in Wakarusa on charges of murder and attempted murder.

He’s scheduled for an initial court hearing on Thursday and is being held without bond.
