A man was found dead inside of a Planet Fitness on the south side of Indianapolis on Monday morning, Nov. 11.

IMPD was called to the Planet Fitness at 8707 on Hardegan Street near U.S. 31 and County Line Road at around 9 am.

Investigators say 39-year-old Derek Sink was found dead in a tanning bed at the Planet Fitness. People at the Planet Fitness reported a foul smell.

All IMPD has said is that this is a death investigation at this point.

A Planet Fitness spokesperson says they are looking into what happened with the local franchise owner.
