A trial status conference was held for a man accused of stealing over $10,000 in tools.
Elkhart Police say in April of 2022, an employee of EFP Corporation in Elkhart found pry marks on the door to a maintenance garage as well as many missing tools.
Detectives say more valuable tools were not taken, but very specific ones including a grinder tool and two-ton hoist were missing. 57-year-old Christopher Hall was identified as a suspect as he had been fired that month and was familiar with the location of the missing tools.
The Goshen News says Hall allegedly pawned the tools within a week of the burglary. His jury trial has been continued from December 2 to March 31.
