Lincoln Elementary School in LaPorte will close for good at the end of the school year.

The LaPorte School Board voted unanimously in front of a large crowd during their meeting on Monday night.

Superintendent Dr. Sandra Wood says they know it’s a difficult decision, but the district will work with the families that are impacted.

Three other elementary schools will remain open.
