A man accused of trying to rape a teenager on a late night walk had his jury trial continued last week.

Travis Howey is accused of attempted rape, sexual misconduct with a minor and confinement after the incident dating back to August of 2022.

A 14-year-old girl claimed she suffered an attempted rape while on a walk on C.R. 15.

She reportedly said that she heard a moped behind her and turned to find a man who groped her and took her cell phone before she escaped.

Police tracked the cell phone and found a man and moped matching the description given by the victim.

The Goshen News says Howey’s trial was rescheduled to February 10.
