Mayor James Mueller joined other city leaders to celebrate the compilation of the LaSalle Park project.

A ribbon cutting ceremony was held earlier this week to celebrate the re-build of the park, making it safer for the community.

Over $2.1 million was invested into the project, with work beginning in August of last year.

Some new features at the park include new paths allowing a better flow for foot traffic, a roller skating loop with sloped features, a large restroom, an additional pavilion and picnic area, additional trees and shaded seating near the Charles Black  Center patio and a fully repaved parking lot.
