Biggest snow totals from Monday’s lake-effect snow event

Indiana dodged the weather bullet from the season’s first big lake-effect snow event. The snow bands hit southwestern Michigan, hard, however. Here’s a rundown of the biggest snow totals in the listening area:

In Michigan:

Saint Joseph 6.0 in 0410 PM 12/02 42.10N/86.49W

The Michigan State Police had to shut down both directions of I-94 are shutdown near Hartford in Van Buren Count) due to multi-vehicle crash. About 14 passenger vehicles and three semi-trucks were involved in the wreckage. One driver suffered critical injuries. More than a dozen slide-off collisions also occurred.
