One person was arrested Tuesday morning after a vehicle pursuit through Mishawaka.

Mishawaka Police attempted to initiate a traffic stop in the area of Lincoln Way West and Logan Street, though the driver decided not to stop and a pursuit began.

The pursuit went around The Oaks neighborhood before ending a short time later when the driver crashed into a garage.

According to witnesses, the driver ran from the crash and went into an upstairs West Battell apartment.

After a search warrant was granted for the apartment, the driver in the pursuit was located and taken into custody.

The case is still under investigation, but reports say narcotics and weapons were located in the apartment.
