Buchanan man sentenced on several charges

A Buchanan man has been sentenced to prison time on several charges.

37-year-old Timothy James pleaded guilty to fleeing and eluding police, unlawful driving away of an automobile and domestic violence after an incident that happened in May.

James was reportedly on parole out of Indiana at the time of the incident.

He was sentenced to concurrent terms of 24 months to 60 months and 18 months to 60 months in prison.

Leader Publications says he must also pay almost $24,000 in fines, costs and restitution.
