St. Joseph County Police were called to investigate a stabbing at Castle Point Apartments , resulting in the death of a 34-year-old man.

Officers were dispatched to the complex around 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 9, after a caller reported that her son had stabbed her husband.

Upon arrival, police found Lee Alexis, 34, suffering from stab wounds to the chest. He was rushed to the hospital, where he later died due to his injuries.

During a search of the area, officers located and detained Alexis’ stepson, 21-year-old Corey Antoine Demetris Young. He was arrested and taken to the St. Joseph County Jail.

Authorities have scheduled an autopsy for Friday as detectives continue to investigate the homicide.
