There is progress in a larceny investigation involving the theft of two four-wheelers, a trailer, and other items valued at over $20,000. The crime occurred on December 17 in the 56000 block of Shattuck Road, Penn Township in Cass County.
Deputies and detectives launched an investigation immediately, following up on multiple tips. On January 12, detectives, in collaboration with the Michigan State Police, acted on information that led them to a location in Bronson, Michigan. There, one of the stolen four-wheelers and the trailer were recovered and returned to their owner.
A 35-year-old male suspect was arrested at the scene and faces charges of Receiving and Concealing Stolen Property, Larceny from a Building, and two counts of Motor Vehicle Theft.
Further investigation led authorities to recover the second four-wheeler and nearly all the stolen property across locations in Cass and Van Buren Counties. The Michigan State Police assisted in the operation, and the case remains under active investigation.
