The suspect in Niles murder has been released after spending a year in jail.
18-year-old Farries Deshawn Maxwell Jr. was released after spending a year in jail for a 2022 Niles homicide.
Maxwell was accused of killing Raquon Glenn back in September of 2022, allegedly seeking revenge for his father’s murder weeks earlier.
Glenn was shot multiple times while in his car and later died at the hospital.
Maxwell’s girlfriend told investigators she dropped him off near the crime scene and claimed he confessed.
The charges were dropped over witness reliability concerns but they could be refiled if new evidence surfaces.
