A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for our area. It starts at 11 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 14, and ends at 1 p.m. on Saturday.
Our first chance of snow starts Friday evening and continues through 7 a.m. Saturday morning.
This will bring us a fresh layer of 1-3” of accumulation by early Saturday.
Saturday we see temperatures warm up to near 35 degrees.
As this happens, another chance of winter precipitation moves in, but this time it is a mix.
We could see rain, snow, sleet and freezing rain with the best chances being Saturday afternoon and evening.
Although this precipitation will be light, even light mixed precipitation can be slick because it poses the risk of including ice.
Saturday night the temperatures drop back below freezing.
Snow shower chances return for Sunday morning.
We will likely see an additional 1-3” of accumulating snow.
Lake effect snow will develop on Sunday and some slightly higher amounts may fall in these bands.
Roads have the potential to be slick and hazardous at any time.
