Arson suspect appears in court

A man accused of burning down his girlfriend’s house appeared in court for his initial hearing.

It happened on September 8 of last year when 38-year-old Christopher Williams allegedly started moving items out of the home and threatened his ex girlfriend that if she was not at the house in ten minutes, he would burn it down.

Williams ended up leaving, but other people at the home found the master bedroom on fire and called 911.

The Goshen News says the interior of the home was a complete loss. Williams’ jury trial is currently scheduled for June 16.
