The Elkhart County Homicide Unit is investigating a deadly shooting.

It was around 2:45 p.m. on Monday, March 24, when the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 30000 block of Riverbend Circle at the Arbors at Riverbend Apartments on the report that an adult male had been shot.

Deputies arrived on scene and confirmed that an adult male was suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.

The male was transported from the scene for medical treatment.

Investigators with the Sheriff’s Office and Elkhart County Homicide Unit responded to the scene and are leading the investigation.
