Six sentenced after drug ring shut down

A drug ring that spanned from San Diego, California to Muncie has been busted and likely permanently shut down with the sentencings of a total of six people who were involved and in charge of the operation.
Jamarr Hill, 30, of Muncie, was the ringleader and got a 17-year federal sentence after pleading guilty to charges of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute controlled substances, money laundering, and conspiracy to make a false statement in connection to purchasing a firearm.
Prosecutors say he would gather the drugs in California and had Terry Hill, 49, of Muncie and Lance McGee, 32, of Muncie, bring the drugs back for sale.
Terry Hill was sentenced to five years and Lance McGee got a 15-year sentence.
Nakevius Shannon, 33, of Muncie, was charged with making a false statement in connection with purchasing a firearm and got three years probation.
Joseph Haskins of Muncie was arrested in 2021 and charged with possession with intent to distribute meth. He was sentenced in December 2023 to 33 years. In 2024, Rodolfo Silva was charged in California with conspiracy to distribute controlled substances. He pleaded guilty and received a 17-year sentence.
