LaPorte resident killed in a crash on State Road 4

A LaPorte resident was killed in a crash on State Road 4.

It happened just before 3 a.m. on Tuesday, April 15.

LaPorte County Sheriff’s deputies responded to CR 300 East south of State Road 4 regarding a personal injury crash.

The initial on-scene investigation shows a 2019 Ford, driven by 22-year-old Macayla R. Boone of LaPorte, was traveling south on CR 300 East.

The vehicle traveled left of center, off the east side of the roadway, and crashed into two tree stumps. Boone was ejected from the vehicle during the crash.

Boone was pronounced dead at the scene.
