Phase Two of the project at the intersection of Ireland and Ironwood in South Bend begins on Monday, April 21.
Work at the intersection shifts to the northeast corner for the next three weeks, weather permitting. City officials say traffic at the intersection will be limited to one through lane and one turn lane, with westbound traffic unable to turn right onto Ironwood Drive.
Signs are posted to direct traffic to the easiest detours, involving Miami and Lincolnway East.
This is the second of six phases of construction in the area that is expected to last through early July, rebuilding the pavement, realigning the curbs, and upgrading traffic signals.
